Sept. 13 - 17

This week we learned what it means to revise versus edit our writing and we continued typing up our "Who Am I?" poems.

We continued to listen to our class novel, Monday with a Mad Genius and responding to it in our visual journal.

In gym, we worked on building stamina and running skills in preparation for our Terry Fox Run. In math, we practiced reading and interpreting graphs. We are beginning to practice geographic thinking by completing a booklet about the places/communities to which we belong.

After watching a video of Bill Nye on Light and Shadows, we made notes about new vocabulary and then we made a Shadow Figure in Art.

We finished the week with Chess to practice our logical thinking skills:

and a Design Challenge to practice teamwork!

Reminders:

Please bring in a pair of indoor shoes, a box of kleenex and an extra mask to keep at school in case you forget your mask some day.
