Sept. 20 - 23

We began this week by talking about what a hero is and writing about our heroes. We learned heroes are often ordinary people who do extraordinary things. We've started to learn what a paragraph is and the parts of a good paragraph like: Introductory sentences, details and conclusions.

We continued to think about the communities to which we belong. Ask me to recall my address, my neighborhood, my city, my province and my country.

We learned about Orange Shirt Day because we will be presenting a Reader's Theatre reading for our next Tuscany Together Google meet on Sept. 29 about Truth and Reconciliation. We also started to make posters to help others remember to wear their orange shirts. Melisa did a great job giving an announcement on the intercom!

On Wednesday, we participated in the Terry Fox Run.  It was fun to see everyone out there! Our class raised more than $50 for cancer research! Thank you for your donations everyone!

Reminders:

Sept. 23 - 24 Virtual Open House on Teams with Parents
