Nov. 1 - 10
This week and a half we finished the story of Olemaun from the book, "Fatty Legs." We started small group reading and math groups. We are also writing a story from the perspective of an ant and we created artwork to go with it.
We prepared a Remembrance Day video contribution. We listened to the lyrics of "A Pittance of Time," to understand the meaning of Remembrance Day and got to see the effects of black light on florescent paper when creating our "illuminated letters" for our video presentation. Please see the email links sent to you or visit the Google classroom Stream to view the videos.
This week we started basketball in gym and we are also learning to pass a football when outside for D.P.A. We also had a very informative talk from CBE audiologist, Sandra Vandenhoff about how the human ear, how hearing loss happens and technologies for supporting deaf and hard of hearing. She brought in her service dog Chanty and showed us how Chanty does her helping job!
