Nov. 29 - Dec. 3
Here are some highlights from another meaningful week of learning!
Language Arts / Social Studies
Students concluded the research component for their culture study on a country of their choice and began the process of planning for and creating rough drafts of their paragraphs using criteria and guidance. We will conclude this work next week. We have also been engaged in a variety of weekly literacy activities including reading for information, engaging in word work, exploring a guided reading novel, and a Get Epic informational text with a quiz.
Math
More review work on subtraction with introduction of coin values (Grade 3) and decimals (Grade 4) continued this week. We also did another Non-Permanent Surfaces Math Problem.
Science
We concluded our exploration of Hearing & Sound (Grade 3 - Amplification and Insulation) and Light and Shadow (Grade 4 - Color and Heat) this week.
Art
